The Sun is FINALLY Shining!

What a great weekend with lots of family time, friend time and B-E-A-U-tiful weather!!!

Travis dusted off the mower and mowed for the first time!

We spent a lot of time with the Horvath's this weekend doing the garage sale!
Pierce had his very first lemonade stand!
He lasted 10 minutes!
Thank goodness it was Demi's lemonade stand;)

I finally got a hair cut!

We had a great time at the firemen's wives supper!
Chef Jeff's catered the meal and it was awesome!!
We played 10 rounds of trivia and the winning team got caught using their phones...BAHAHAHAHA...that was for you, Casey!!
Only kidding about them using their phones....but they did kick a$$ so there was speculation;)

The weather was beautiful all weekend and we were outside all day Sunday!
We had a family lunch at my parents then sat outside all day!
My BIL and Travis took the older boys fishing and we sat outside and talked!
We told Chad and Travis if they didn't take any pictures of the boys fishing we would kick their a$$es when they returned!!  Guess what....NO PICTURES!!  So we kicked their butts;)

I ended this great weekend golfing with the hubs!

Happy Monday to all of you!
Go out and make it a great week:)

Finally FRIDAY!!!

Busy busy...that's us:)
This week has been full of daycare classes, lots of spray tans, swim lessons, work & garage sale stuff!

When I say work, this is what I'm talking about...... :)
We had some cousins and friends join the daycare this week and Pierce loved it.
This was him a few hours later while playing trucks!
I thought he got awfully quiet;)

I was selling this water table in the garage sale (SOLD) and the new owner wanted a picture so I took one.
This picture made me really happy...
...the blue sky and green, GREEN grass!!
Gives me hope that spring really is here!

Here's the garage sale!!
Come see us today 12-7 and tomorrow 9-12!

The garage sale started yesterday at 4 and I got there at 4:45.
By the time I got there ALL my 3T clothes were gone!
Stacy said it was crazy how fast these people came looking for boys clothes.
Gotta love social media!

Speaking of social media...this was my post on Facebook yesterday...

"Dear garage sale crazies...Just because my garage door is open DOES NOT mean I'm having a garage sale (mines down the street;)...Please do not use my driveway to turn around because I have kids playing outside...and lastly, please do not leave your barking dog in your vehicle parked outside my house DURING NAPTIME!! Ok...I'm done;)"

I told Travis to bring me some orange cones when he gets off work so we'll see if he listens!
I had 4 cars pull in my driveway yesterday thinking I was having a garage sale and the kids were playing in the driveway!  They could have hit one of them!!!
Drives.me.crazy!

T...G...I...F...!!!

We have the firemen's wives supper tomorrow night and I'm pretty excited about it!!
It's a fun night filled with great people and a never ending flow of drinks;)

Cheers to the weekend (in 8.5 hours...for me!)

Garage Sale 2013

It's that time of year again!

I honestly was NOT planning on participating this year...
...but our spring cleaning last weekend got me going!

I asked my friend if I could add some stuff to her garage sale and she said yes!

After going through more of my stuff this week I told her I had enough to do my own garage sale and didn't want to overwhelm her!  She said she really doesn't mind so that's still the plan!!

I feel bad because I have to work every day til 5pm so I'm really not much help with the garage sale...
Wish I would have had my sh*t together sooner and taken Friday off.
Can't be done now:(

Anyway....here's a list of items I'm selling (sorry, no pictures).

-Boys clothes size 6mo-3T
-Boys shoes size 5-11
(sandals, dress shoes, tennis shoes and even cowboy boots!)
-Infant carrier carseat with 2 bases
-Boys coats sizes 18mo-3T
-An assortment of toys
-Sand/Water table with umbrella

I'm totally jinxing all of us but I'm selling Cash's winter coat from this year.
He just wore it this week but I threw it in the washer with all the other ones and it's tagged and ready to go!
If it gets any colder I'll layer him up;)

****************************************

My husband is going to kill me for this but I'd also like to sell our double jogging stroller.
It's very nice but my boys are 85 pounds total and that's a lot of weight to push up and down hills!
Plus..Pierce likes to ride his bike when we go on walks and Cash looks ridiculous all alone in a double stroller!
I have no idea what we'd ask for it but if anyone is interested shoot me an offer and I'll run it by Travis;)
We He wants to hang on to the stroller for a little while and if we end up selling it we'll put it on Craigslist.

{Just want to put this out there because I know most of you are thinking it...
...NO we have not ruled out baby #3!
We are still going back and forth but I'm being practical...for once...and living for now!}

GARAGE SALE HOURS:
Thursday 4-7
Friday 12-7
Saturday 9-12

Come see us at Mark & Stacy's!!

Weekend Fun & Spring Cleaning

WARNING: Picture overload:)

Had a great weekend with my boys and great friends!

Friday we went to a friends house with the kids.
The hostess' kids are high school and out of college age but she hung on to some toys and Cash thought this was the best food set ever!
{It was the best food set ever!}
Loved serving all of us:)
We had a nice relaxing night!

****************************************
Saturday Pierce and I had a day of fun together!
We met my sister and her kids at the food court and it just so happened my mom was in Coralville and so was my SIL, Amy!  They all joined us for lunch:)

The boys begged my mom to ride the carousel and she caved;)
Pierce had a blast just sitting in all these riding toys.
I never added any money and he was perfectly content...that's my kid!!
We did a big Target run then back to my sisters.
The boys played outside and we women played Phase 10!
This was Pierce 5 minutes after we left their house to head home!
Meanwhile back at home Cash was enjoying some chocolate pudding;)

Travis and I enjoyed a night out with friends Saturday night!
It was one of those 'laugh til you cry' kind of nights:)
Love those nights!!

****************************************
Sunday started our spring cleaning!
My friend is having a garage sale down the street so I'm adding a few things to it.
I started out going through the boys shoes!
I realized I haven't been through their shoes since Cash was born!
I have 28 pairs I'm selling so come check them out;)

I can't wait until these are the only shoes my boys wear!
Still waiting for that warmer weather.....
The madness continued with the toys.
I get so overwhelmed with all the toys and the fact they are not organized!
We threw a lot away and I'm selling some at the garage sale.
I felt a big weight lifted off my shoulders when that was all done!

While we were on the cleaning kick I wanted to continue with the boys room.
I also get overwhelmed walking in there!
They share a tiny room and have all their special toys in there (by special I mean toys that are just for them and not for the daycare!).
The toys keep getting bigger and bigger and we are running out of space!

The books have been a problem for a while now!
This is how they were displayed before.....
 Kind of an eye sore!!

During nap on Sunday I ran back to Coralville and went to Walmart to look for a book shelf.
Of course they didn't have anything so I ran to Target (again!).
I found this book shelf for $21.99!!!
Found here!
We made room in their closet and I think it works out pretty good!!
 Ahhh....so much better!!

Happy Monday to all of you!
Go out and make it a good week!!

Craziness In The US

There's so much hatred going on in the United States this week.
I don't understand why we have so much evil!
Why do people enjoy hurting others?!

If you don't know about the Boston marathon bombing then you live under a rock!

It was (allegedly) two brothers who calmly did all this.
As of 8am Friday (April 19th) one brother was gunned down and the other is on the lose!

There are over 625,000 people in the Boston area on lock-down!
How scary....

Hoping and praying all ends in the best scenario...but I'm not sure what that is.

***************************************

Then you have that poor town of West, Texas that was leveled from a chemical plant explosion.
I hope and pray it had something to do with the plant malfunctioning and not a terror attack!

Praying for all involved there....

****************************************

Makes me feel very fortunate to live in a small town here in Iowa!
I feel safe every day and I wouldn't give that up for anything!

The only thing we have to fear here is water....
We got a lot of rain from Tuesday to Wednesday this week and Old Man's Creek overflowed into the field behind our house (and all over town!).  Luckily the water never reached our yard and our basement was dry....something not many other Williamsburg residents can say:(

It was kind of neat looking out our windows seeing all this water.
(Knowing it wasn't going to come any closer!).

I've always wanted to have water front property;)

The good news is it went down as fast as it came!
Thursday

****************************************
Another busy week!
I did a lot of spray tans again this week...love being busy:)

Pierce started preschool at the high school with the Child Development class.
It's only a few hours a week but he loves being at the high school!
I remember being in this class in high school {only a few years ago;)} and it was fun having the kids come to our classroom!  I knew Pierce would love it also!
Some of his high school babysitters are in the class so he was pumped to see them!

We are getting together with a group of friends tonight and our kids!
I'm looking forward to an adult beverage;)

Happy Friday to all of you!
Go out and make it a good weekend!

Please keep everyone in Boston and West, TX in your thoughts and prayers!

Weekend Catch-up!

Still keeping busy over here!

Baby Jace came to visit (so his mommy could get a tan!) and the boys were so curious about him!
They've been around him 100 times but for some reason this time was different!

Cash was doing some cute baby talk to him:)
Pierce really wanted to hold him and of course, this is the only picture I got!
Still a cute one:)

We did a family shopping trip Sunday to Costco and Menard's.
We took the truck (for the Menard's trip) but didn't really think about our purchases at Costco!
The boys and the groceries were all squeezed in the back!!

We ate supper at Carlos O'Kelly's and I was so excited!
I've been craving Carlos and my craving was beyond filled!

On the way home Cash was getting restless so I asked if he wanted to hold my hand...
...and he held it forever:)
**Melt my heart**

I've been drinking lots of iced cappuccino lately!
My heart races when I have too much caffeine so I'm limited to 2 Diet Pepsi's a day.
I have to eliminate those Diet Pepsi's when I make iced cappuccino;)
I'm very productive and get a lot done when jacked up on this;)

I recently figured out Cash loves to brush my hair!
I could sit here for hours and let him do it;)

Another busy week here!

Tuesday night was my only night at home with nothing to do {except those 4 loads of laundry}
I hate to admit this but once the boys went to bed I was bored!!!
How sad is that?!

We have nothing on the DVR and there's only so many times you can check your Facebook!
I've been asleep by 10pm the last two nights!

It's a good thing because we've been having a lot of rain and storms...which means Pierce finds his way into our room in the middle of the night!

Have a good Wednesday everyone!!

CrAzY wEeK

Heitman household has been NUTS this week!

Here's a rundown of what we've been up to....
-walk to the park
-jewelry party at my bestie's
-7 loads of laundry
-66 spray tans (with a party yet on Saturday)
-daycare open 47.5 hours
-celebration with team because volleyball is finally over!
{I love volleyball but the season gets a bit long towards the end!}
-Candyland fun night at Pierce's preschool...Travis was thrilled to take him;)
-4 baths given to the boys (this is work people!)

Of course most of this is me just being "mom" but it seemed extra crazy this week!

I managed to keep the boys fed and dressed also...okay maybe not dressed but who cares anyway?!

I would NOT have gotten through the week without my awesome husband!
Travis is always a great dad and husband but this week he was extra great;)
Thanks Trav!!!

Another BIG thank you to my in-laws!
They are taking the boys tonight so I can do 2 spray tan parties and Travis can help my dad tear off and re-shingle his roof!
The boys are excited:)

****************************************

I managed to squeeze in a late night manicure...done by me!
Pink is OPI nail polish (You're Such A Kabuki Queen) and the zebra is Jamberry!

My SIL introduced me to this amazing product....
It was really, really good and I will be buying it again!
They have 4 or 5 different flavors but I just grabbed this one to try!
They are in the freezer section and all you do is add your lettuce!
Genius;)

Wednesday was Siblings Day (whoops...totally missed that!).
So....Happy Siblings Day to my sister Kellie and brother Jacob!

****************************************

TGIF to all of you!
I will be enjoying a nice cold beverage Saturday evening when my week is finished:)

Bubbles

We had 70 degree weather on Monday and that just so happened to be the only free night I had this week!
We walked up to the park then came home for some bubbles!

I just love the joy in their faces when doing bubbles!
Seriously bubbles...who knew:)
I wish I could get that excited over something so simple;)
Gotta love them!!!

I've had a few people ask me what I use to get my pictures in a collage like this...I use PicsArt:)

Happy Thursday...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

Face Lift

I'm getting really bored with my 5 year old decor!

I decided to liven things up a bit and give my kitchen and dining room a face lift!

I found this sweet plate on display at Kirkland's in Des Moines.
It jumped into my hands and I didn't put it back!
Love it!

I've had this hutch for a while now and have been wanting to get knobs for it...so I can actually use some of the drawers!
We found these beauties at Lowe's over the weekend and the hubs installed them Monday night!
I love them:)

In the 5 1/2 years we've lived here we've never had any window coverings on our patio doors.
We do not have any houses behind us (and hopefully never will!) so there really wasn't a need.
I saw these at a friends house and had to have the info!
I totally copied her and ordered them myself!
I think it gives our dining room all new character!
They add more warmth and comfort to the house!
Once again...I love this:)
Bamboo panels here!

These jars were a pinterest project I started but never added the final touch!
I found these sweet flowers at Kirkland's in Des Moines also!
I knew they were mine when I spotted them!

Nothing here was too expensive and it gives my area the lift it needed!
Face lift = Success!

Happy Hump Day to all of you!

New Shoes

The weather is warming up so I decided to add a few more sandals to my collection!
I had a 30% off coupon for Kohl's so that's where I started...and ended!

I'm a huge fan of Kohl's and can always find something:)

Pair #1:
These will be my every day (spray tanning) shoes!
I've already worn them and they are comfy!
Find them here!

Pair #2:
I splurged a little on these but I think they are gorgeous and I cannot wait to wear them!
You can find them here!

Happy Tuesday to all of you!
If you check out Kohl's....happy shopping:)

Bowling & Shopping

All day Friday I was in the best mood because I knew I was going to have a blast Friday night AND my kids were staying overnight at G'ma & G'pa Spratt's:)

I was right...I had a blast Friday night!
There were close to 35 people bowling here in town!

We donated all proceeds to Alzheimer's Association!

The boys had a blast at my parents house and were up bright and early Saturday morning (6:10).
I can say with a smile on my face I slept til 9am:)
I can also say I was sore from bowling (how sad is that?!).

****************************************
Although I had a great time Friday night bowling I'd have to say my favorite part of the weekend was Saturday!
Amy (SIL), Haley and I decided Friday night we should go to Des Moines Saturday.
We left around 10:30 and were gone all day!

We stopped at Cheese Cake Factory for lunch and cheesecake to go!
We stopped at Kirklands (home decor shop) and I found a few things:)
Our whole purpose was to go to Homemakers so Amy could get some supplies for her new house!
I found my dream table there....in our budget!
Unfortunately it didn't come home with me this time but hopefully sometime soon!!
We stopped at a Mexican restaurant on our way home in Grinnell and had margaritas and chips and salsa!
It was a fun day out of the house with many laughs and good times!!!
Best.Cheesecake.Ever!!!
It was snickers, caramel and peanut butter cup!!!

We got home just in time to eat grilled food made by Travis!
Man oh man, have I missed brats with kraut!!!
Bud Light was good too:)

****************************************
Sunday morning we got up and moving early.
We headed to Theisens for new fleeces, Lowes for knobs to finally finish off my hutch, Chilis for lunch and Walmart for the dreaded weekly shopping trip!

 Cash being goofy at Chilis!
I heard about these a while ago from Casey!
I could not stop thinking about them but couldn't find them anywhere!
Finally I found them yesterday.  Don't do it people...they are amazing!!!!

****************************************

Travis spent Sunday afternoon tending to fires and the boys and I went to my parents.
The boys love helping grandpa clean up!
They got this airplane for Christmas and it's finally warm enough to get it out!
They had so much fun on it!
We call Cash the animal-whisperer:)
This cat was wild and wouldn't even come to humans!
It's safe to say she's warming up:)

My parents grilled steaks and burgers for supper and we had a nice relaxing evening!

****************************************

The weather is warming up so I went with a gold metallic on my toes this weekend!
They are Jamberry Nails!

****************************************

Happy Monday to all of you!
Go out and make it a good day!
