Rehearsal & Ending Preschool

Big week and weekend coming up!

Pierce has his very first dance recital!

I'm pretty sure I've shared this picture before but this is his costume...adorable!
We had dress rehearsal last night and survived....barely!

I didn't make the best decision when having a spray tanning party here also last night.
I started tans at 6:30 thinking I would definitely be home since rehearsal started at 4:30!
I was wrong!

I got to see Pierce dance on stage then I seriously ran through the parking lot to my vehicle and raced home....only to find 2 cars in my driveway with spray tanners waiting on me!

Luckily our friends brought Pierce home....and I started tans at 6:30 and didn't stop until 9:30!
Travis helped out with the boys until he had to leave for slow pitch softball.

I couldn't get the boys to lay down so Mr. Cash was up until 10pm and was up bright and early at 6am!

The last few days have been crazy and I'm just thankful it's Friday!!
Although our craziness continues...for some reason Fridays make it all better;)

**Side note**
I'm very thankful I have boys in dance and not girls!
Oh good God...seeing some of the moms walking around with laundry baskets full of costume changes...the mass chaos of where each child needs to be and what costume they should have on...and the makeup and hair!
I had anxiety just watching them (shocking!)
no.thank.you.

Today is Pierce's last day EVER in preschool!

This picture was taken yesterday because it was his last day in Lil' Raiders!

This is today!

G'ma Spratt has carpool on Friday's so we took their picture!
Pierce thought G'pa took today off for his last day of school and we just let him believe that;)
In reality he was off for an eye appointment my mom had to drive him to:)
So he got in on the picture action too!

Here's the famous first day of school/last day of school picture!

And I had to share this too....
Same outfit...2 different brothers...9 months apart!!
Pierce wore this on the first day of preschool and Cash is wearing it on Pierce's last day of preschool;)
We thought Pierce was big for his age but I think Cash has him beat....3 years old weighing in at 44 pounds and wearing a 5/6!  Good lord!!
And by the way...when I say "big" I don't mean fat or husky...I simply mean big!  That is all!

I'm not afraid to admit my kids are solid;)

Here's to the crazy busy weekend that leads into our crazy busy summer!

Memorial Day Weekend

About a week ago my SIL Melanie asked if she could take our boys to the zoo!
Looking back I remember thinking....she's taking BOTH boys for the day and Travis and I will have the day to ourselves??....HELLS YES!!

The day came and the boys were ready and so were Travis and I!!

I'm not going to lie....I had anxiety about them being that far away for so long!
I completely trust Melanie (the boys wouldn't have gone if I didn't!) but I don't trust everyone else on the road!!
{Can totally admit I'm a crazy mom!}

Travis told me I was being ridiculous and to pull myself together!
After almost puking and being queasy with a headache I realized he may have a point!

So we got the day started....
....but not without a fight!!!

Well.....at the last minute Pierce decided he didn't want to go!
In my mind it wasn't an option.  Melanie planned this whole day, Taylor was excited for him to go and not to mention I had mentally prepared myself for the day too!

It was an all out screaming, crying, throwing his car seat out of the car fit!
I knew Melanie was taking it personally and I assured her it wasn't her at all!
He told us he wanted one of us to go along.
He had major anxiety about going!

I have no idea where he gets that;)

We're working on it people, kay?!  OK!

So we physically pushed Pierce into her vehicle and walked in the house....
....hardest thing I've ever done!!!

After wiping away tears of my own I had Travis call Melanie!
She told us he was totally fine as soon as we were out of the picture!
I knew he would be!!

So they went on and enjoyed their day!!!
Bravest women I know taking 4 kids to the zoo an hour and a half away BY HERSELF!!
The kids had a blast and have talked about ever since!

Travis and I also enjoyed the day golfing...
...until we got rained out after 5 holes.
So we took off for Iowa City and did a big Walmart trip and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings!
We came back home and I took a 2 hour nap....best.nap.ever!!!
{I'm not going to lie...I had anxiety all day!!}

Pierce and I both survived the day...mine included a few alcoholic drinks to ease the nerves but survived non the less! ;)

Our city park displays the flags of local heroes on Memorial Day!
I love walking through the park when they are up!

Travis and I took the boys to look for all my grandpas flags!
It was a success....
Leon Spratt, Carroll S. Berry & Kenny Donohoe!

So pretty!!

We went to Holbrook for the their service and got a picture with my Uncle John after the service!

We also found our friends Luke and Claire!
They were thrilled I was taking a picture;)

My favorite quote I read on Memorial Day that resonated with me was...

...We are the home of the FREE because of the BRAVE!

So very true!
THANKS to all who served and those that continue to serve!!

Friends, Friends & More Friends

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

We started it Friday with a play date with Pierce's friend Levi....
I'm pretty sure they had an amazing day!
Travis took them to McDonald's for lunch, to the fire station to check things out and then to the park!

Friday night we left our boys with a babysitter and headed to the winery!
I love the atmosphere there....live music, great weather and cold beverages!
I'm not a fan of wine but luckily they had Amana beer:)

****************************************

Saturday was a low key day!
Both boys had nasty coughs so I scored a few snuggles with Cash-man!!

We had friends over Saturday night for a BBQ and sparklers!
You can tell by their smiles they had a great time!

You can't tell by his smile but by his empty cup and closed eyes Travis also had a great time;)
All the kids made it longer then Travis!
I have to explain...no he's not totally smashed and passed out!
Travis does this....anywhere and everywhere....he just falls asleep because he's so tired (no...the alcohol doesn't help!)!
It's happened at a wedding, at a bar, at the kitchen table (not just ours!) and this is not the first time it's happened in his chair;)

*******************************************

Our Tball season officially started last night!

Last year was interesting....Pierce played in the dirt, didn't want to play ball, cried on the field...so on and so on!

This year he actually likes it and does a great job!
So....maybe they put him at first and instead of catching the ball flying at him from his teammate he was high fiving the kids running the bases!
And so what if he hit the ball hard and took off running for third;)
He's having fun dammit!!!

It was so cute and the crowd got many giggles out of all the kids!
Gotta love the first few games;)

Memorial Day post to come tomorrow!!

Graduation, Crafts, Daily Life

We have been super busy attending graduation parties....and having a few of our own:)

Last weekend we attended a preschool graduation party, high school graduation parties and a college graduation party!  Not to mention a baptism and a birthday party too!

It's official...we are ready for kindergarten!!!

These two yahoos are so ready for kindergarten!!

WCP GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Not only did we do a lot of celebrating but it was also "get a good picture" week!
LOVE this picture of the boys!

Family pic!
Pierce is so proud of his certificate!

Best teachers ever!!!

And what would a celebration be without Pizza Haus pizza?!

LIL' RAIDERS GRADUATION
Pierce really blossomed this year and I think Miss Laura had a big part in that! :)

 Another good one...couldn't resist!

I took this last Sunday while at the college graduation party and I love it!

Thank you to all the family that came and supported Pierce this week!
He truly had an amazing week and this boy is loved beyond words!!

Now let the countdown to August 18th begin;)

****************************************

Travis got a lot of barn boards so I decided to put them to good use!
My friend Haley helped with the "welcome" sign.....
Haven't quite found the perfect spot but I think it adds a certain pop to the front porch!

 This is my favorite!
I do not have any advertisement at my house so I figured I'll make a SPRAYChick sign!
I love how it turned out!
It doesn't have a permanent home yet but it does its job!!

I didn't make this next craft but I ordered it off Jane.com!
Once again...trying to find a home for it but it will match everything perfect!

I finally ordered family pictures to update all our frames in our house.
It's been a work in progress but it's coming along!

****************************************

And here's a little glimpse into my days....
This was Monday at 6:45am.....count them....7 kids!!!!
And what's even crazier...they are all family! :)

Had to throw this pic of Delaney in:)
I'm sad because she only has one more week with Auntie Kim then she goes to her regular daycare!  We are going to miss her SOOOO much!!

Oh Pierce.....looking just like his daddy:)

Little Miss Maceyn has been here for 2 years and now it's time for her to move on to her grandparents daycare.
It was the plan from the very beginning but those 2 years flew by!
We are going to miss her!

I was able to catch a pedicure last weekend and it was heavenly:)

Okay, sorry for all the pictures but to be honest I had to cut about 20 out!
I went a little nutso taking pictures the last week!

TGIF to all of you and happy Memorial Day!
Remember the reason most of us have this day off......

Accidents, Behavior and Dancing!

Bad weather means another day inside....
Gotta love IPTV that gets the kids up and moving:)

We had an accident this week....Cash stepped on a nail:(
WARNING...not for the faint of heart!
Every time I look at this picture my stomach hurts:(
Luckily our neighbor randomly stopped by at the right time and she doctored him all up!
Thank you Heather!!

Pierce was doing a happy dance because he was going on a field trip to the Children's Museum and had a playdate after:)
Best.Day.Ever!

We made a trip to the dentist and this is how it started with Cash....
Luckily Dr. Megan is amazing and he did a complete turn around and actually let her look in his mouth!
Pierce always does a good job!
Here he is waiting for Dr. Megan to finish up with his brother!

And although Pierce is good everywhere else...he's not so much at home!
It's not all the time but he has his moments!
So I decided we are going to get shit straight before summer and lay down some rules!
I made this behavior chart and so far so good!
He's very proud of it and tells everyone that comes over!

Oh yes....and this happened;)
 YUMMY:)

Oh....and these happened too...
I had rice crispies that needed to be used up so I made a batch of scotcharoos.
I decided to make them thin (copying our friend Jess!!) and I think it was the best batch I've ever made!!
I have no will power so I had to get them out of my house!
My friends and family benefited from my lack of will power;)

Travis went with his dad and brother, Arec, to a Boston Red Sox game in MN Thursday.
They stayed overnight so the boys and I had a sleep over!
This is what I woke up to this morning;)

Happy Friday to all of you!
We have a weekend full of graduation parties:)

Cheers to the frick'n weekend!!!!

A shout out to my SIL LynDee....today is her birthday!
I hope you have a great day!!
