Life As We Know It...

When we built our home in 2007 the biggest regret I have is only putting 2 bedrooms on the  main level!  UGH...why did we do that?!

The boys have always shared a bedroom!
Since the baby is coming (soon!) we made the decision to add a 4th bedroom in the basement (3rd bedroom is in the basement also and currently my spray tan room!).

Both boys will be moving to the basement!

It's going to be a rough transition so I wanted this room done a while ago!
My husband doesn't always see things the way I do (or my urgency) but thank God my dad does!
He's just like me and once something is mentioned and in the works it's only a matter of time before it's done!

Last week was a long week cleaning out the basement and selling a lot of toys to make room!
So many toys, in fact, I created some rumors!

Everyone thought I was closing my daycare!
I had to text all my daycare families and assure them this was not the case and I made a PSA on Facebook to hush any false statements!
{I received many texts, private messages and phone calls wondering if I was closing daycare!}

Anyway, things finally got cleaned out enough and the prep work started!

Two days later and the room is framed and ready for the electrician then drywall!

We made a few trips to the dump and the boys were amazed!
Once we started going through the basement my nesting settled in and I went through the house and even the garage!!  Feels good to de-clutter!

While all the banging was going on I decided to peel Pierce (and his questions) away from my dad and Travis and we headed to North Liberty to my sisters.

She kept my boys while I did a big Walmart trip then we met at Culver's for lunch!
After that we went to the NL junior high for a kite festival and Pierce was beyond excited to see they had a fire truck there!

I love this picture!

Although Pierce can put on fire gear whenever he wants (perks of having your dad be an Ass Asst. Chief) he still wanted to do it in NL.
Weirdly enough the helmet says '29' and Travis is #29 here in Williamsburg!  Pierce knew what he was doing!
I'm pretty sure you won't find a more genuine smile coming from Pierce!!

They both had fun flying kites and we had to do it again at home the next day!

I am now 30 weeks pregnant (YAY!!)

I finished up my 3 week prom spray tans doing a total of 60 tans!
I'm so happy most girls are staying out of tanning beds and getting a spray tan!
Like I told them....
...a spray tan is your best accessory to your prom dress!

I cringe every time I go into the boys bathroom.
There's ALWAYS pee in the toilet, on the seat and most days on the floor, there's toothpaste in the sink and their underwear is always on the floor!

I had enough and made them clean it!
Pierce prefers to do this alone so Cash got off the hook!
Call me a mean mom but they are fully capable of cleaning the bathroom!
And after all, they are the ones making the mess!!!
{I will admit it's not done up to my standards but I finished it when they were both in school!}

All About Cash

We have been busy with end-of-the-year activities for Cash and preschool!

Last Sunday we had the spring preschool dinner at St. Mary's Hall.
Chef Jeff catered and it was an amazing meal!
The kids love serving their families!
Cash was a very lucky kid and had Grandma and Grandpa Spratt, Grandma Donna, cousin Taylor, mom, dad and Pierce join him!
We tried for a family photo...

******************************

Three days later Cash had kindergarten roundup!

When I first got the roundup papers in the mail I was an emotional mess!
At the time I didn't know I was pregnant and I couldn't believe my baby was going to kindergarten!
I couldn't even talk about it because I got a lump in my throat and wanted to cry!

Fast forward to now and for some odd reason I'm not emotional about it...
...maybe because I realize I'll be doing this all over again in 5 years!
{Poor middle child syndrome is already starting with Cash!}

It was a great day spent with Cash and he was beyond excited!!

Can't you just see the excitement on their faces?!!!

Cash and his cousin Ryland will be in kindergarten together!

Cash is the one that's a whole head taller then everyone else!

******************************

It's a good thing we are getting him started in school soon because this kid has BIG dreams!
He wants to be a cook at McDonald's!

Since he could talk and reason with us on what he wants to be when he grows up he's always said either a cook at McDonald's or a cook at The Sundown!

As long as it makes him happy and he gives 110% I'll be happy!!

After all, happiness is the key to a good life, right?!

Friday Funnies and Not So Funnies

It's been a long two weeks!
I've worked over 100 hours with daycare plus over 40 spray tans!
I've climbed into bed earlier in the last two weeks then I ever have!

I've also taken the leap into my 3rd trimester...
...and along with that came my nausea again:(
It's only been in the mornings and isn't terrible but... seriously??!!
I can definitely do without...that's for sure!

I have my 28 week appointment today.
I get to drink that fun sugary juice for the glucose test...wonderful...

Recently I've been saving more funny (and some serious) ecards!
As I was reading through all of them you can definitely tell where my stress has been...my kids;)
Poor boys get the brunt of everything!
I'm working on it...I really am!!

Here we go....
OMG....this could not be any more true!
This is what I'm dealing with!
Thank goodness the boys now clean their bathroom;)

I agree 100%!  Wish everyone would see this!

Haha...this just cracks me up!

Word!

I have never, never had any issues with Pierce getting dressed and ready on time.
Cash is a whole new story!
This is totally him and it drives me crazy!!!

{See previous picture!}

Yes, sometimes you just have to do this!

For sure!

At least 3 times a week!

So true!

This ecard was made especially for my friend Amber!
I saw this and really laughed out loud!!

Manners people!!!

I am currently doing this sober...
...I don't recommend;)

Just this morning alone...all before 7am...this all happened:

- Pierce came into my bathroom all dressed and already had breakfast (pancakes with peanut butter on them). However, he doesn't know how to use a napkin so he had peanut butter ALL over this shirt and pants!  Ironically enough, that was the same shirt he tried to wear Wednesday but couldn't because of the SAME problem!!

- A few minutes later Cash came running into my bathroom crying because Pierce purposely threw Cash's pancake on the kitchen floor and stomped on it!  Thinking back, I should have made Pierce eat that pancake...but I didn't!  Yes I am the mom who buys the frozen pancakes (I've actually had a lady tell me how lazy that is in the freezer section at Walmart once... Ask me how much I care lady! And if buying premade, frozen pancakes for my kids is bad parenting, so be it!)!  And yes my boys make their own breakfast in the morning because they only take 45 seconds in the microwave!

- My husband thought it would be a good idea to give Pierce a Dr. Pepper at 6:45am!  WHO DOES THAT??!!  Not sure how much he drank but I was the bad guy for taking it away from him!  He was bouncing off the furniture (for reals!) and wild as ever!  We're I'm the parent that only allows pop on very special occasions and I hardly call 6:45am on a Friday (school day!) a special occasion!  I feel like he needed a warning label for school...sorry Mrs. Belland!! This is what I'm dealing with people!

- Cash putzed and putzed around all morning and finally picked out an outfit.  The only problem is the jeans he picked had a hole in the butt.  And since today is a school day I made him change!  That just prolonged everything...and I may or may not have had to freak out before he listened to me!

I'm so glad my appointment isn't until this afternoon because I'm sure my blood pressure was through the roof at 7am!
Once both boys are out the door and off to school it's like this calmness comes over me!  I take a deep breath and prepare myself for the rest of the day!

All jokes aside...I truly love my boys to death!
They may drive me bat shit crazy most days but I wouldn't trade them for anything!!

Happy Friday everyone!!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday morning!!
I just want to start out by saying this....
Ugh...why do weekends go so fast?!
We didn't have any major plans this weekend but we found time to have some fun!!

I think the nesting stage is setting in because I'm having a hard time being in my house 24/7!
I keep finding things that need to be cleaned and/or organized!

Travis and the boys jumped on my crazy train and we did a lot of spring cleaning!
Lets just say a trip to the dump is necessary!

****************************************

Lets back up a bit...
...way back!!
This picture was taken on March 31st, 2006....the night Travis proposed to me!
I cannot believe it's been 10 years since that picture!
Quite a bit has changed since this picture!
Cannot wait for this next chapter in our lives...baby #3!!

The boys had spring pictures at school and we got them back last week....
Of course they're good....when I had no intention of buying any!
I have yet to hand out their fall pics...which are still in the envelopes sitting on my pile of papers in the kitchen!
Such a money trap!!!

Friday night I had a group come for prom spray tans (I did a total of 25 last week!) then we went to the Sundown to eat.
After supper Travis and Pierce went to help friends with a controlled ditch burn so Cash and I made a few stops!
Our final stop was at my parents and Cash was having fun with my camera!
Here are the pictures I found on my camera the next day...
Oh my!!
My parents are gonna love this;)

The boys have been working really hard earning their new TV!
{blog post here!}
Over the weekend we decided they earned it!!

To say they were excited is an understatement!!
And surprisingly they still continue to do their chores...which is all I ask!!

Saturday morning our friend Rick tilled the garden....
....let the gardening season begin.
{enter "not ready face" here!}

Saturday night was PALS family fun night at the boys' school!
It just so happened we made plans to go out with Wardenburg's and Westfall's so we lined up a babysitter (Kenady) and she took the boys to family fun night!
That's a win/win if you ask me!

I don't have any pictures but I know they had fun!

We adults went out to eat then to Hurts Donut because I was the driver and that's where my vehicle took us;)
SOOOOO good!!!

We went to church Saturday afternoon so we had a lazy Sunday morning...
So sweet!

Sunday afternoon the boys and I went to the high school play Peter Pan!
It was great and the boys had a good time!

After the play we took our nephew Rayce home from baseball practice and Pierce got to bottle feed their calf...
They got the calf last weekend and Pierce hasn't' stopped talking about it since!
He was in heaven!!!
As we shared our "best part of the day/weekend" at supper Sunday night Pierce said feeding the calf was his favorite part of the whole weekend!
It took a total of 10 minutes, yet it was his most cherished time:)

Travis is starting to think he needs one...
...only one problem...WE LIVE IN TOWN!!
Not sure that's even legal...and I'm not sure our neighbors would appreciate that!

I'll leave that up to Travis!

****************************************

Go out and make it a good week everyone!
