IA Game, Pumpkins, Birthday & Homecoming!

We took the boys to their very first Iowa football game two weekends ago!
I was nervous but they both did great and had a lot of fun!

The weather was perfect and we met up with Mimi, Demi, Karli, G'pa Heitman, Carter and Rayce!

My parents grow pumpkins every year so we picked them on Sunday.
The pumpkins look great!

Travis coached a youth football game last Sunday in Williamsburg and I snagged this picture after the game!
L-O-V-E!!!

I got some time with my Godson, Jace:)

I'm getting organized with all Pierce's preschool papers and projects!
Cash was the lucky one to do a big Walmart & Kohl's trip with me so I took him out to eat at Wendy's!
My birthday was the 25th so I made bought some delicious cookies to share!

Last week was homecoming and Pierce had a great time dressing up at school!
Gotta love small towns and big families!
A big group of us came out for the parade!!
My cousin Nick is a senior this year so we all came out to support him.
{He's the one in the center with a cowboy hat on!}
Raiders kicked a$$ Friday night!

I was gone on my girls birthday weekend away so Travis played hostess with the mostess Friday night!
He even made a big crock-pot of chili for everyone!
Way to go Trav!

Week-Long Catch Up

It's been a while....

Here's our last week in pics...

The boys enjoying homemade jam:)

We survived the garage sale...
Done...Done...and Done!
My mom brought in 3 large buckets of tomato's and they were sold (all to one person) within minutes!
We got a babysitter Saturday and enjoyed watching our Hawkeyes beat ISU!
It was a great night!
Travis made stuffed peppers...they were awesome!
 The boys loved them too:)
I've been suffering a stupid cold since Sunday so my sweetie Cash was giving me a back rub (because his father wouldn't!!)
Travis and Pierce playing an apple tree game P made at school.
 DWTS started.....
Team Snooki all the way!

We were actually all home on Monday night so we played board games.
Pierce kicked all our butts!

And in other news.....

Travis surprised me with an all planned out GIRLS weekend away for my birthday!
It's not til next week but I am so freak'n excited!!
{We've been together 12 years and he has never done anything like this before....to say I was shocked is an understatement!}

Pierce started Hip Hop/Tumbling and he loves it!  I was nervous because it's all boys ages 5-8 and I thought he'd be intimidated but I think watching how the older boys act is helpful!!

Cash has learned his ABC's and Pierce's counting is getting higher and higher!
I just love hearing the ABC's on repeat and I'm pretty sure I'll never forget how to count {enter sarcasm here!}

I did three spray tan parties this week, Travis has had football practice and a fire meeting...
...Thank goodness for great babysitters and family that helps us out!

TGIF to all of you!

GO RAIDERS
&
GO HAWKS!!

Football & Hay Rack Rides!

Another great weekend!

I have to start out by saying...my, how times have changed!
6 years ago we would have been tailgating in Iowa City at 6am and partying all day!

We got a slap of reality this weekend!

Cash started getting a cold Friday and it was a rough Friday night!
I was up with him on and off all night!
Saturday it moved to his lungs (which is always does!) and he was wheezing and out of breath and I always freak out!

I started the phone calls with Mercy On-Call asking about cough medicine and we ended up talking to a pediatrician who thought we needed to rush him to the ER.
I assured them this happens every time he gets a cold so the doctor looked back at his records and just called in a steroid for him!
THANK YOU DR. KINZER!!

So we spent the first half of the Iowa game on the phone and running around trying to get Cash's prescription before the pharmacy closed!

Luckily he took a 3 hour nap and woke up almost 100% better!

**********

Saturday night we enjoyed an adult night out at our friends'...The Wetjens...who were celebrating 10 years of business.
There were lots of people there and a live band!
It was a lot of fun!

Sunday was a day spent with family!

Travis had his first 5th/6th football game.
Both teams kicked butt!!
The boys love their cousin Luke...

After the football game we headed to the Spratt Farm to celebrate my Grandma's 84th birthday!
A hay rack ride is always involved along with good food, babies and very tired kids on the way home!
Here is my Grandma Spratt...member #2 of the Spratt Family holding member #74, Brixton!
I'm counting my Grandpa as #1 and Grandma as #2...
...they had 8 kids and their 8 kids have had 22 kids and those 22 kids have had 20 kids!
We have a very large family but it's the best family in the whole world!!

Here's just a fraction of our family!
What a great Sunday we had:)

****************************************

I'm back at the garage saling again...
I decided to have another one!

I dread putting my clothes away and realized it's because it's too crowded in my closet!
I cleaned it out and ended up with 3 large garbage bags of shirts alone!

So then I moved onto the boys closet and surprisingly found a huge Rubbermaid full of clothes I'm selling!
If anyone is in need of boys clothes size 3T come check out the garage sale!

Gonna tackle my shoe issue and the boys' this week!

Garage sale will be this Friday 5:30-?? and Saturday 8-12!

Happy Monday to all of you!
Go out and make it a great week:)

Friday Friday

Our week was pretty laid back....

Baby snuggles....with a monkey in the middle:)
{It's safe to say Cash loves her!}

Juice box chugging contest with Aunt Mimi...
...Mimi won;)

 Birthday shenanigans with cousin Kahne!
Goofballs!

And my favorite part of the whole week....
Around 9am today I asked Cash to go to the garage fridge and get me a diet Pepsi...
...I'm not a slave-driver...he sincerely loves to do this...
And this is what he came back with....
I told him to come back at 5pm;)

TGIF to all of you!

Labor Day Weekend 2013

FRIDAY:
We kicked off the Raider football season with friends and family at our house!
It was 1000 degrees outside so we spent most of the night in the house!

Cash realized UmiZoomi was on TV and snuggled up to G'ma Heitman!
Someone brought this combo to the party and I cannot get enough!
We actually went to the store Saturday morning to get more for the Iowa game!
If you haven't tried...do it!
{I've never claimed to be a healthy eater;)}

***************************************

SATURDAY:
We were lazy all morning then got things rounded up to head to our friends (Horvaths) for the Iowa game.

This is how Cash & Karli enjoyed the game.....
And this is how their siblings enjoyed the game......
In the end the Hawks lost...BUT I think they looked 100 times better then they did last year!
I'm very hopeful for a decent year!

Saturday night Travis was asked to let off some fireworks for a wedding happening in town.
He called a few minutes before they let them off and invited us out.
We got front row seats to a 15 minute firework show!
The boys loved it and it was free entertainment!
Perfect ending to a great Saturday!

****************************************
SUNDAY:
We Travis spent some time in the garden.
I played photographer!
The boys picking me flowers again:)
{This time from our garden!}
I know I'm biased but holy CUTENESS:)
Sunday after naps we went to Gma & Gpa Heitmans to swim!
That's always a good time:)

The boys stayed at Gma & Gpa's and we went golfing and out to eat for Mark's birthday!
It got dark really, really fast so we had to use the headlights on the last hole!

****************************************

MONDAY:
Travis and the boys hung out while I went shopping and out for lunch with Haley.
We had a family BBQ Monday night at my parents.

It was a great weekend and I hope you all had the same!
