Winter Fun

There's been snow on the ground for a few weeks now and we've sent the boys out quite a few times but Travis and I decided to join in on the fun...when the weather warmed up to 40 degrees!

We made a family snowman and went sledding:)
Cash was too scared to go by himself so I went with him.
My bum hasn't been the same since;)

Fast forward 8 hours and this is what our snowman looked like.... :(
Some punks went around town smashing snowmen....HOW RUDE!!
The boys were devastated when they saw this the next day.
And to make matters worse the weather went from 40 degrees on the day we made the snowman to -1 so we are not going to repair him:(
I can't get over the nerve of some people!

This is just a life lesson for the boys to live by our family motto (and the golden rule!).....TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!!

Anyway...

I know I shared this photo in the collage above but I had to share it again because it's my most favorite picture ever!!!
Ahhhhh....Cashy:)

Today is my sisters 35th birthday!
I seriously can't believe I have a sister that old;)
{only kidding...I'm not too far behind!}
We didn't always get along growing up be we've grown up to be the best of friends!
Our kids are the same age so not only do we bounce stories/advice off each other....we also share many inside jokes.... sum ting wong?!
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Happy birthday to the best sister a girl could ask for!!

I hope you all have a fabulous New Years and GO HAWKS!!

Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!
{WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!}

We spent a lot of fun days with family and the boys were spoiled:)

Here's our holiday in pictures....

Decorating cookies:)

Christmas at the fire station:)

Big Heitman Christmas
Travis and I finishing up our shopping...

Monday (Dec. 23rd) my siblings and our families stayed overnight at my moms.
The kids had so much fun and it's nice to wake up all together!
(Aunt Mimi is 38 1/2 weeks pregnant so they decided to drive the 2 blocks and stay in their own bed!)
Matching jammies....
 Cash & Kellie snuggling!
 Setting out cookies for Santa...
Waiting patiently for presents...
 Santa tracking....
Boys loved these TMNT stuffed pillows...
My mom made everyone a HUGE fleece tie blanket!
They are awesome!
Ready to go to church...
Christmas Eve tradition... Going to church in Holbrook then to my Grandma Spratt's for a gathering.
Cash found Great Uncle Pat and snuggled right up to him...
 Cameras are always out!
 My Grandma's table all set...
Christmas morning at our house with the boys...
Pierce was so excited because he got a new western shirt, a cowboy hat, a flashy belt buckle and new cowboy boots (now shown!).
I'm a little biased but I think he looks pretty darn cute:)
 All new TMNT bedding...
After we open all our gifts we head out to G'ma & G'pa Heitmans for more fun!
My niece Makenna got a police officer costume for Christmas and she wouldn't take it off.
We had to refer to her as "Officer 1028!"
Hilarious!!
Clever way to give money....wrap a bill around their favorite candy bar!
He was excited!
FIL Randy...slept through the whole present fun!
 Cupcakes for Jesus' birthday!
 Eating treats.....

Sorry for all the pictures but I do it for myself;)
I'm a picture freak and it will be fun to look back in a few years!

I hope you all had a great holiday season and were as blessed as we are!

Current Catchup

First off I'd like to mention I'm writing this post from our new laptop!
We got it last week in our no mailbox fiasco....but we got it!!

Now that I've updated all our big events from the last month I'll take this post and update everyone on our current life:)

Not much new going on...just the day to day life here:)

The boys LOVE popcorn and now watch the microwave and dance until it's done!

Early outs mean friends come visit!
Pierce and Tate played numerous games of Candy Land!
{Excuse the mess...we live here!}

I finally got to go watch Pierce at Hip Hop/Tumbling!

Pierce decided the neighbors driveway needed to be scooped!
Luckily we're close and I knew they wouldn't care.....I even texted her the picture.
She actually brought him home a cupcake from Scratch Cupcakes:)

I had 2 baby showers this weekend.
The first one was for Kylee and it was a great time!!
Her sweet baby Nolan is 8 weeks old so Kylee got to enjoy a few adult beverages:)
The second one was for my SIL Amy!
We drove a few hours to be at Amy's but it was all worth it for this gift!
Amy spotted this board at a vendor event in Williamsburg and was torn whether to buy it or not.
She decided not to and was regretting her decision later!
I tracked down the vendor and ordered it!
I think she was pretty excited!

With all our travels over the weekend we stopped at a few gas stations.
I spotted these and couldn't resist!
They were delicious:)

Saturday night Travis and I took the boys on a date!
We ate a great supper at Olive Garden then to a few houses in Coralville my sister told me about!
While we were at the Santa House my sisters kids showed up with her in-laws.
It was totally unplanned but the kids had a great time!

This is how my mom and I showed up to church on Sunday!
I had the sweater and my mom loved it so I bought her one!
Guess we need to let each other know when we are going to wear it;)
Great photo op though;)

Travis was deer hunting this weekend and the boys were so excited when he came home Sunday night.
They snuggled and watched the most amazing comeback ever for The Packers!
Poor Tony Romo didn't know what hit him....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well that's our current catch-up!
I'm very excited about this week because it's the last full week before Christmas!!
I am not done shopping yet but I can't wait to get out there!!

Go out and make it a good week everyone!!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Santa Claus was at our local library so we took the boys...for the second weekend in a row;)
 All smiles and no tears!!
Cousin Kahne came too:)

****************************************

We decided it was time to get in the Christmas spirit and decorate!
{I've officially decided I do not like a late Thanksgiving!}

****************************************
Time to bust out the Christmas shirts!
I couldn't resist this picture after he ate chocolate animal crackers...

It snowed and the boys couldn't wait to get out!
 They loved it!
Travis was outside with them and this was my view....
And when everyone was inside safe and sound someone slid right into our mailbox and snapped the post in half!
It wasn't a big deal to me at the time until the next day when I realized they cannot deliver our mail:(
I am home and could try to meet the mailman but it's not like I'm sitting around waiting for them and they come at some random times!  Grrrrrrr.........

So we wait!

****************************************

Have a great day!!
