Easter 2014

I know this is a few weeks late but better late then never;)

 

I hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday spent with the ones you love!!

We started the festivities dying eggs!

Our community does a great job having the Easter Bunny at the recreation center over the holiday.

Travis did not plan to be in the picture but this was as close as Cash would get;)

 After the Easter Bunny the high school student council had an egg hunt in the city park!

In Cash's defense {with his look!} he choked on an apple right before we got to the park...

...choke as in Travis had to flip him over upside down and give him a few blows to the back:(

Thank God Travis was here because I panicked:(

 

Needless to say he didn't have very much fun at the egg hunt!

Easter morning rolled around and I was certain we would have everything over by 6am because the boys wake up so early!

Well to my surprise they both slept in til 8 and we even had to wake Cash up!

Hasn't happened since but I welcomed it that morning!

 

They were so excited the Easter Bunny left them lots of goodies!

 Why wouldn't you have a side of chocolate with your cereal?!

Nothing to say in Cash's defense here!

I'm a little bummed this is the only family picture of us!

Oh well...that's Cash!

 Cash was so excited to hunt more eggs!!

Babies, Rules & Food

Longest...week...ever!

This was my first time out all year and on hole two this was my shot.....

A neighboring town is trying to raise money for their pool!

I have many clients in the area so they asked if I would donate a basket!



I hope this raises lots of money for their pool!!!

While I was at a house doing a spray tan party this week I saw this and had to take a pic...

{Don't worry...I asked first!}

I think it's perfect and exactly what I want in my own home!

 

She said she ordered it for $8 on Jane.com!

I researched it a little when I got home and quickly found out this website is going to get me into trouble;)  So many fun things!!

This & That

We've been busy keeping busy:)

 

Boys started swim lessons three weeks ago...and we have three left to go!

Pierce loves it and has a great time!

 

Cash...not so much! 

He loves the water and isn't afraid of anything but he doesn't get the concept that it's a structured swim class and he has to listen to the teacher and can't do whatever he feels like!

 

We've struggled for three weeks and I told him last week was make or break for him!

Well, he decided it was break time so we pulled him from lessons!

 

It was a huge fight every week to get him in the pool and when he was in the pool he did whatever he wanted!  Mind you I'm fully clothed and can't jump in after him so he thought it was hilarious to test boundaries!

We didn't start Pierce til he was four years old so I guess we'll give Cash another year!

 

By the way...if anyone is in need of swim lessons the Coralville Rec Center is amazing and very reasonable!  We paid $50 total for two boys in lessons for 6 weeks!

 

 In between lessons we were able to go to the park last week!

We had a picnic lunch and the boys had a lot of fun on the tire swing!

My sister had Delaney Friday night and she sent us this picture....

I just thought it was too cute not to share!

Kadence loves all her babies and she made Delaney one of them:)

 

I read a blog called Momma Gets Real and she has a shop (Dear Nicole) and they make amazing cuffs!

I have had my eye on a few and saw she posted these cheetah print cuffs.

I had her custom make it with "Everything Will Be Okay" and I am in love!!!

You should definitely check her out! 

Oh boy.....

I am fully aware this is not a flattering picture of me.....

...but every time I look at it I LOL!

It rained all day Sunday and Pierce and I were snuggling on the couch!

We were doing silly faces and he was laughing so hard which makes me laugh even harder!

It really is the little things:)

Easter Celebrations 1 & 2!

 We were invited to 2 Easter parties last weekend!

 

The first one was at my friends Haley's house!

She loves Easter and decided to start an annual tradition this year and invited all our kids over for an egg hunt!

I think we counted 32 kids!!!

The kids were so excited to start!!

It was a family affair:)

 

There are 432 eggs out there!!

It took 15 minutes for the eggs to be collected!

 

The kids enjoyed their candy and the beautiful weather we had on Saturday!

It was already planned to send the husbands and kids home and have a chill girls night out...

It was so great to be outside again!

{ Although it didn't last long because it rained ALL day Sunday and it has been cold ever since:( }

Sunday we celebrated Easter with my parents and siblings.

Cash's favorite colors are pink and purple so he wore this pink tutu the whole day and collected the purple eggs only!  Oh my...that boy...

As long as he's happy....right?! ;)

I think she did a pretty good job this year:)

 

 Out of 10 tries this is the best I could get!

 

The kids with grandpa and all their treasures!

 

It was a great weekend spent with wonderful friends and family!

It never fails...every time I have a baby in my arms Cash has to be in my lap as well!

I think someone is jealous!!

We counted down to Kindergarten Roundup for a whole week and it finally arrived last Friday!

Pierce was so excited:)

As of right now I don't think I'll be the mom who gets emotional and upset on the first day of school!

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be doing flips out the front door;)

Okay, maybe not but we'll see! 

All things could change on Monday, August 18th 2014.

{What?!  Maybe I have my own countdown going on;)}

The weather has been trying to warm up and everyone is thrilled!

So naturally I did what any daycare provider/mother would do...I made them run:)

Last weekend we were lucky enough to escape town without our kids with a fun group of friends to Galena, IL!

It was a low key, fun, FUN weekend!

 

I won't lie...I felt like a moron taking this picture with Batman but we did it for the boys!

Mine was a Naughty Girl Scout Cookie flavor and it was AMAZING!!

 

It was a great weekend and one that Travis and I needed badly!
