August 2015

Ok you guys....I really suck at keeping up with this blog...
....but turns out I LOVE looking back and reading my older blog posts so I really want to continue!

It's been a while so I'm clumping posts into months!!
SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED since July!!
Stay tuned!

****************************************

August was a busy, buys month so there's a picture overload!
Well, actually it's not too bad because I lost thousands of pictures off my phone from July to September.
I cannot talk about it because it caused a panic attack and I get sick to my stomach every time I think about it!
Luckily I edit a lot of my pics through PicsArt and Instagram so I still have all edited pics!
And thank God I do because I would have missed first day of school, Pierce's birthday and so much more!

Anyway....back to the blog!

I just have to share this!  Lots of time outdoors and at the pool gave the boys good tans!
Love those white butts;)

We had some fun in matching shirts again...

Boys loving on their new cousin, Leo!
Travis and I golfed in quite a few tournaments this summer.

I had my 10 year class reunion this summer (where the hell did those 10 years go?!)
Eight people showed up....8!!!
Love these girls!  Bestest friends all through high school and although distance separates us we are still all close!!

Pierce celebrated his 7th birthday on August 16th!
For the first time we did a sleepover!

He picked two of his cousins and three friends!
It was a great group of kids...
...Kahne, Makenna, Pierce, Kyler, Rogan and Levi.
We went fishing and they all had a great time!
LOVE this picture of Pierce fishing off the bench!
After fishing we came back to our house and had a campout!

They did great and slept all night in the tent (with Travis!).
I asked one of my friends who makes cakes to make a camping theme cake!
She ever so kindly suggested I could make my own!
So I tried....
Not too bad!!!!
Pierce loved it and that's all that matter!

Here are some of Pierce's FAVORITE things....
-Favorite food: turkey sandwich
-Favorite person: Rogan
-Favorite thing to do: play the game Headbands
-Favorite color: Blue
-Favorite place to eat: Red Lobster
-Favorite movie: Frosty The Snowman
-Favorite animal: dog
-Favorite drink: root beer
-Favorite holiday: Christmas
-Favorite thing to wear: PJ's
(he doesn't even own pajamas so I'm not sure why he picked this as his favorite thing to wear!)

Ahhhh....and mom's FAVORITE time of year....BACK TO SCHOOL!!!
It was a LONG summer so I was more then happy to see the school doors open!

We officially have a 1st grader and Cash is in 4 year old preschool!

This fall also brought flag football for Pierce and Travis coaching 5th and 6th grade tackle football.
One of Pierce's first games was in North English under the lights.
It was a neat experience for all involved!

On Sunday afternoons you could find Pierce and Travis on the sidelines coaching the 5th and 6th graders!

So sorry it's been so long, again!
I'm going to try really hard to keep it up because like I mentioned at the beginning of this post so much has happened!! ;)

Dog Days Of Summer

At the beginning of June we participated in a fundraiser for a friend of our friends...catch that?!
My friend Sara's friend from high school has a baby with Krabbe Disease.
Sadly I don't know everything about it but she has a blog at Sweet Williams Way!

Here is sweet William!
The fundraiser was a shuffle board tournament!
Each team had a sponsor and donated so much money for each point played!
I hate to brag and all but our sponsor (Spratt Construction) had to pay a hefty fine because Travis and I came from the losers bracket and got 3rd place!
We scored the highest amount of points out of anyone there!!
It was a fun day and we had a fun Williamsburg group that traveled to play!

****************************************

I caught these three taking a selfie of themselves...how adorable!
Wish I had the outcome but unfortunately the phone was fake;)

My dad took Pierce to the farm one day and my mom took this!
Pierce looks up to his great Uncle Pap (Pat) and great Uncle Tommy.
He's taking it all in here!
All these men are hard workers, they have great work ethic and they are amazing role models!

We did swim lessons in Williamsburg for the first time this year.
Pierce did great and learned so much!
Cash did great for the first 6 lessons then did not participate the last 2...oh well!
They were his first swim lessons ever so I'll take it!

Story of my life....

We had a day planned at the pool then the weather was crappy so we decided to check out City Park in Iowa City.
The kids had so much fun and it was cheap entertainment!!

Love this picture of my boys:)

Ahhh yes....and we've officially hit the dog days of summer!
Pierce finally mustered up enough courage to go down the BIG RED SLIDE!!
{It's a big deal people!}
Now I can't keep him off of it!

Not sure I've mentioned this before (since I'm so far behind in blogging I doubt I have!) but Cash won a family membership pass to the pool from his preschool prom!
We have been taking every advantage of it too:)

And here I am...forcing my kids to take selfies with me....because without selfies I wouldn't be in any pictures!!
He loves me...he really does;)

Fishing, Golfing and St. Louis

We've been having a lot of fun this summer!
My motto is YOLO (you only live once!).

Travis went on a guys only fishing trip to Wisconsin over Father's Day weekend.
He had a lot of fun and came home with only one picture!
Look'n good Trav, looking good:)

We've gotten into a few golf tournaments....
....and we ALWAYS have fun doing that!!
Not sure what Mark is doing in the top left corner;)
Four couple best shot!

The four lady best shot is always a good time too!

At the end of June we took a family trip to St. Louis with a group of friends!

After a long drive down (we were about 30 miles from our destination and there was flooding over the road so we had a detour that lasted way too long!) we visited Grants Farm!  It was a great outing I highly recommend!
Out of all the kids in the crowd Pierce was chosen to go down and help the presenter at a show...
....and this is as excited as he got!  Seriously?!

Pierce and Bryson in the bird cage...this is as close as I could get!
I'm NOT a fan of birds!

Our local Raider baseball team was having a fundraiser selling tickets to the Cardinal/Cubs game!
All 18 of us went to the game and had a great time!

We are a Boston Red Sox family so I was unsure who to cheer for!
I got the kids shirts at Wal-Mart for way cheap, I bought Travis' for $5 at our Outlet mall (Vanity Fair) and I borrowed my tank from my friend Kay!
We had the Cubs hat and I decided to wear it to be neutral!
Cash's hat came from our friends Demi and Karli.
The game was a 7pm game to begin with then went into extra innings.
We left early and watched the ending in the hotel.
The boys were asleep within minutes!

Our group took over the hotel pool!

Saturday we went to the city park and enjoyed the splash pad!

We also went to the City Museum!
I only got a few pictures because it was a lot of climbing and keeping track of your kids!

It was a great weekend away packed full of everything fun!
All the kids got along great and were up for anything!
St. Louis is a family friendly city and we loved that!
