Take Back...Friday!

Still not much new to report so I decided to take things back a bit and post some of my favorite pictures of my family!

Winter Randoms

WARNING: Picture overload!!

Since there's so many pics I'll try not to write so much;)

{I said try people!}

 

I took a mental health day a few weeks ago and was scheduled for a massage and facial!

I showed up and turns out my massage therapist didn't show up!

I was beyond bummed!

They compensated me with a back facial (not the same as a deep tissue massage!) but it all worked out!

 

Our local furniture store (Uhlmann's) has a big super bowl sale every year.

We got the boys bunk beds this year!!

 

I'm excited because there's so much more space!!

New baby means extra attention:)

 

Snow scoopers dressed alike!

 

Over Valentines Day weekend we celebrated Christmas with my mom's side of the family!

 This means lots of cards and family time:)

 Little Miss Delaney can't believe she's related to all of us;)

 Love me some Phase 10!

And this crap happened AGAIN!!

Pierce is so excited because he's 5 1/2:)

Gotta love summer birthdays!

Who knew our toy cash register can also be a math game...

....5 + 5...come on Pierce!!! ;)

And this is our local newspaper.

I guess good help is hard to come by!

I honestly couldn't believe this when I saw it...

...this was the front page story!

Pierce was running around in my coat and hat and I couldn't help but laugh!

PEANUT ALLERGY UPDATE:

Cash had his 3 year check up recently....weighing in at 42 pounds and 40 inches tall!

We've been watching his peanut allergy and slipping some peanuts items into his diet (some on purpose...some not so much...**cough**Travis**cough**!)

But all is okay and his pediatrician cleared him of all allergies!

She even went as far as telling us when registering him for preschool next fall not to put any restrictions on his paperwork!!!  You have no idea how happy this makes me!

No more yucky peanut butter here!!!

So fortunate he grew out of this allergy...I know not everyone does!

 

 



Waterpark, Pirates & Princesses!

Sorry, it's been a while!

I've been busy...with a new baby in the daycare!  I always forget how much work they are;)

I've been asleep on the couch by 10pm since he started!

But...he's cute so we'll keep him;)

 

A few weekends ago we went to Des Moines for the night.

We had plans to leave in the morning but of course we woke up to this....

Have I mentioned I'm over winter?!

Our trip was delayed half a day but we made it!

The boys were super excited!

We stayed at the Ramada in Des Moines

I highly recommend this for a night away!

 There was 4 different pools and the kids section (above picture) was only a foot deep!

Perfect!

 The kids had an absolute blast!

 We went with my parents and my sisters family.

 

Our main focus for the trip was Princess & Pirate Adventure show!

 We bought both boys pirate souvenirs but Cash threw a fit because he wanted Princess Sofia stuff!

What my baby wants....my baby gets:)

He was so happy:)

{That's all the matters...right?!}

My dad and Travis were so thrilled to be here;)

Wait...what is this.....are they actually sitting still?! 

Mark that on the calendar!!

 

 It was a great show and all the kids had a fun time!

 

And this was Cash 4 days later:)

 

 

 



Winter Blues...

I recently was reading my blog from February 2013 and it's amazing how I feel the exact same way in February 2014.....SO OVER WINTER!!

I'm tired of being stuck in the house...I'm tired of my 5 year old's attitude...I'm tired of no routine...I'm tired of school never being in session because of this weather....I'm tired of these damn germs...basically I'm just tired!

 

UGH...Kim...SNAP.OUT.OF.IT.

 

Okay...enough complaining....we have been having some fun around here!

We were invited to Ryan and Amber's beautiful new home for pizza and beverages!

The kids always have a good time!

 Not even sure what to say about this....

...he loves pink:)

We had our own little super bowl party and it was fantastic!

The menu included wings, hamburger/velveeta/rotel dip, little smokies and fried pickles!

The super bowl itself was a waste of time but the food (here) was good:)

Dry-Erase work book from G'ma Heitman was a hit!

And a nice pass time indoors;)

 

And someone ran out of undies so that said someone had to do laundry!

I sent this pic to my sister via text and captioned it with..."Fold my clothes b*tch!"

LOL...oh boy...I'm still laughing about it now!

{He's gonna kill me!!  Sorry Trav!}

Pinterest can be a very, very bad thing!

I saw this recipe and had to repin it!  Monster Cookie Bars!

I totally made them and let me tell you...they are amazing!!

 

And...once again we have germs!

Both complained about tummy aches for a couple days.

Pierce's didn't amount to anything but the tummy ache but poor Cash had the squirts:(

Another reason I'm over winter!

 

 

We got more snow:(

Pierce loves to shovel so at least someone is happy about it!

He actually does a really good job!

He didn't even make it into the house after school....he dropped his back pack and grabbed the shovel!

Love that kid!

My sister might kill me for this but I had to share these Glamour Shots from 1992!

She is 14 and I'm 11!

Gorgeous aren't we?!

Bahahahahaha!!

 

My mom is cleaning out all her closets and finding some very interesting things!  These Glamour Shots being one of them!

She also cleaned out "my" closet (the closet from my childhood!) and she made me come out and go through it all!

NOT FUN!!

Oh well...it's done!

 

I am off today because I decided I needed a mental health day!

Cash is going to Grandma Spratt's...Pierce is going to school...and I will be enjoying a massage and facial!!
