HELLO Friday!!!

What a loooooong week!

The good news...it's almost over and we have a fun weekend ahead of us with the 4th of July just around the corner!

It's the last week of t-ball!

I had to snap this shot of Pierce and his best friend in their uniforms!

We spent a few more days at the pool!

Travis plays slowpitch softball on Thursday nights.

Thursday is a really busy spray tan night but the nice thing is I can schedule my appointments so the boys and I can go watch Travis play!

Carter and Pierce thought they were pretty tough sitting in the dugout!

 Lots of our friends are at slowpitch too!!

Pierce loves that he has the same "jersey" as his dad!!

Travis hasn't played slowpitch for over 5 years.

We used to spend every Thursday night at the fields and it was something I looked forward to every week!

Watching him play now takes me straight back to that feeling I got years ago!

5 years ago I was worried about getting off work in time to grab some beer and head to the field.

It's a bit different now with the kids and bringing all their stuff!

My worries went from beer and myself to the boys, snacks for the boys, drinks for the boys, toys for the boys, a blanket to sit on for the boys and so on and so on!!

I still have fun and the boys never want to leave when it's time to go!

Busy weekend ahead!

We have our last t-ball game tonight!

We are joining a HUGE group of friends at the local winery after t-ball for a live band!

It's Kids Day here in Williamsburg Saturday so the boys and I will check that out.

Travis is playing in a slowpitch tournament all day Saturday.

I'm golfing in a 4 women best shot tournament Saturday afternoon.

The boys get to go stay with G'ma & G'pa Heitman:)

And Sunday is the calm before the storm with the 4th of July coming up and us leaving on vacation July 5th!

Foodies

We actually have a few nights at home this week!

I love finding recipes on Pinterest and pinning them.

I did a big Walmart trip and enjoyed reading through my Pinterest recipes and finding ideas!

First I have to start with these (NOT from Pinterest!)....

 These bad boys are AMAZING!! 

They taste just like the peanut butter cookies on the box...NO JOKE!!

This is also not a Pinterest recipe (but probably could be!).

I was at a spray tan party Monday night and Travis sent me this pic titled "Here's supper!"

It's tilapia and shrimp over wild rice with a side of asparagus.

It was rather tasty!!

(Sorry, I don't have the recipe!)

After Monday my week started looking up!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my brother Jacob and his wife Amy!

And today they FINALLY made it Facebook official they are expecting their first baby!!

We cannot wait!

**They told all of us a while ago and Pierce was standing there.  Amy said "Pierce, Mimi has a baby in her tummy!"  Pierce said "Prove it...I want to see it...lift up your shirt!"

We all got a laugh out of it!**



No Power!!!

Bad storms started late Sunday night into Monday morning.

We had a slumber party of 4 after we got the boys calmed down from the lightening and thunder!

{Not gonna lie...I jumped at a few of those cracks of thunder!}

When we have slumber parties I don't always sleep the best!

So I was tired to start out the day on Monday.

Around 9:45am our lights went out and they kept flickering so I figured they'd come on shortly...

...4 hours later they came back on!

The kids were rowdy and wild and our whole morning was thrown off with no power.

I have a sweet little baby here who is the best baby ever...except Monday:(

She was teething and felt miserable.

So on top of wild kids, no electricity, checking our sump-pump I had to deal with a fussy baby.

Lunch time was interesting!  I couldn't warm the babies food or bottles up!!

The older kids had PB & jelly, popcorn puff and applesauce!

Travis was worried about our basement also so he kept calling and texting me to check the sump-pump.

He finally came home around noon to hook the generator up...and we were due for a severe storm.

I don't do storms well and he knows that!!

I can pull myself together for the kids but it's always nice when he's here!

He was wheeling the generator to the hook-up spot and all the lights came on in the house!!

I got everyone down for naps and the severe storm rolled in :(

Everyone woke up and I only had 2 kids nap.

The storm was initially a tornado warning but they canceled the warning before it got here....THANK GOD!

I had a spray tan party last night so I took off shortly after daycare kids left and returned  home around 9pm to an ice cold Bud Light:)

Today is a new day and we are starting the week over...because I said so!!!

Summertime Fun

The boys love them!!

I had a spray tan party cancellation so I took the boys to the pool!

They loved it!

We golfed in a 4 couple best shot tournament last weekend and it was a great time!
Travis and I showed up in the same colors as Jake and Amy!
So of course we had to take a picture;)

The weather has been B-E-A-U-TIFUL so we enjoyed lunch on the deck!

The kids had a blast swimming but I think we need a bigger pool!!

I had a Thirty-One party a while ago and just received all my goodies!

I got almost $500 worth of stuff for $75!!

These items make me very happy!!

Premonition...

I haven't really talked about our last trip to the medium because it wasn't really for me!

I went with my cousin and my sister and it was more for them.

I joined in last minute and was totally okay with sitting back and watching them get "read"!

It was an awesome hour!!!

There was 5 minutes left and the medium focused on me and said.."I feel so bad you've kind of been left in the dust!"  I told her I was totally okay with this and that I was there for support.

She proceeded to "read" me a little even though I didn't ask for it.

She said I have a gift of knowing how things are going to play out before it even happens...a premonition!

I totally agree with her.

My wheels are always turning and I hate to say I'm always right (**cough cough**) but a lot of times I will know how something is going to work out...

{If only Travis would realize this;)}

A lot of times I will have a dream about something and it will happen the next day!

Sometimes this can be a good thing or a bad thing!

If I dream that one of our parents died I will worry the whole next day thinking it will happen!

I've actually been right a few times about negative things and it scares the sh*t out of me!

Most times I will have vivid dreams about a person and the next day they will have a very important part in my day...not always negative!

**Side note....last night I had a dream I was living with and partying with Snooki and Pauly D!

I was so bummed because we were spray tanning and I wasn't getting as dark as them;)

Can't wait to see if that's significant in any way.....BAHAHAHAH**

Here's an example of a non-dream premonition....

A few Fridays ago I got up early and made sure my room/bathroom was picked up. 

I even started my Scentsy's which doesn't usually happen unless we have guests over!

I made sure to pick up my PJ's (and undies!) off the bathroom floor and to make my bed (that never happens!).

I had no idea why I needed this all done...I just went with it (because it doesn't usually get done!).

I walked out to the main living area (usually always picked up) and got the boys breakfast.

It was June and my calender was still on May so I flipped it.

As I was flipping it a business card flew out and landed perfectly sitting up right in front of my face.

I read it...."Iowa Department of Human Services; Lisa Westbrook"

I didn't think anything of it...at the time.

We went on with our day as normal...breakfast, play, snack, outside/basement play, lunch, outside play....

The kids were settled down getting ready for naps when a state of Iowa DHS car pulled in our driveway.

My heart sank.....

Back story...I'm a registered daycare provider so they make random spot-check stops whenever they want.

I was totally ready for them (business wise) but your heart still stops when they show up!

So she came in and we got things started!

(she has to go through my file, all the kids files, check for tornado/fire drill reports, check all areas where kids play/nap, check outdoor play....and so on and so on!)

It was nap time and since I have 2 kids napping in my room she had to do a complete check of my room!

In my head I'm thinking....#1: OMG...#2: it smells so good in here (Scentsy), and #3: thank God I picked up my underwear off the bathroom floor and made my bed!!!

It all turned out great and she was in and out in an hour!

{She claims she could be at a house up to 5 hours!}

She usually has to come back and do a re-check to make sure you fixed all your problem areas but she said I was all good and doesn't need to come back....ALLELUIA!

So......I'm thinking all those little things (cleaning my room, Scentsy, her business card flipping out of the calender) happened preparing me for the visit!!

I'll pay closer attention next time I get all these premonitions!!!

Big Boy Bed

We've been wanting to get Cash out of the crib for a while now so this was a long time coming!

He's been napping in Pierce's bed so we know he can handle a twin bed!

We were just up in the air on what we wanted to do with the crib....

...It's now disassembled and in the storage room!

We bought a twin bed when Cash was a baby so it was ready to go!

A few Sundays ago we made the switch!

It took lots of brain power and creativity (which is hard to come by on Sunday evenings!).

Their room is so small and we have 2 twin beds, 2 dressers, storage bins, a train table and a laundry basket.

Here's what he was sleeping in...

We managed to find a home for everything...the Toy Story storage bin now lives in the closet with all the clothes and book shelf:)

 First night and he did awesome!!!

Pierce fell out of bed the first night but he's been good ever since.

I think he was disoriented and got confused!

It's been a few weeks and both are doing great!

I actually found Cash laying in his bed yesterday around 9am just chill'n!!

{Pacifier is only allowed in bed (I'm working on getting rid of it all together!) so I'm thinking he needed his oral fix!}

Father's Day 2013

We started our Father's Day celebration on Saturday because the boys stayed with my sister Saturday night.

The boys were excited to give Travis a basket full of his favorite things!

First....and most important...his "pop!"

He also got a golf shirt and beef jerky!

{Travis still has to wear sunglasses because his eye is sensitive after his eye procedure!}

Happy Father's Day to my dad!

Not only is he a great, great man but he's one heck of a grandpa!!

My boys adore him!

And Happy Father's Day to my husband!

He's a wonderful dad and our boys look up to him more then he knows!!

Also want to wish my father-in-law a Happy Father's Day!!

We weren't able to be together on Father's Day but we'll do it soon!!

Sunday afternoon we went to my parents for lunch!

It was HOT so we got some water toys out for the kids

We had a babysitter lined up for the kids and all the adults went golfing in the afternoon.

We came home and chilled out all night! 

Travis got comfortable in his cut-off shirts (that I HATE) and Pierce (his mini-me!) decided he wanted one.

I was busy for a few minutes and walked out to this.....

Day Off

The boys have 9 cousins (with 2 on the way!) and they love playing with all of them!

We love random visits when they stop by!!

My SIL LynDee (Travis' sister) came and got spray tanned Saturday morning.

The race started and the kids were watching so they stayed!

My other SIL, Jeana drove by and pulled in because her husband, Arec was running and the kids wanted to watch!

We all had fun watching the runners and walkers!

 Makenna and Pierce are so alike it's funny!

Makenna walked into our house with her shirt tucked in just like Pierce!

I got a giggle out of that;)

Monday I didn't have daycare (to regroup from my weekend!) so the boys and I did things we normally can't do during the day! 

We did a big Walmart trip and stopped at Jon's Ice Cream Shop in Tiffin on the way home!

Everyone enjoyed a cool treat:)

We played in the park with our friends!

 We visited dad at work and the boys LOVED seeing his machine!

Travis' eye procedure went great yesterday.

{So great, in fact, he was golfing hours after}

Not sure what my deal is but I'm completely exhausted today!

I had to peel myself out of the recliner at 8am because I was falling asleep.

I ate breakfast and drank a diet Pepsi so things are looking up:)

Lots of spray tans tonight and I'll be done by 7 so the boys and I are going chill!
