Monday Blues

We had a great weekend!  Friday night I had a spray tanning party and didn't get back to Burg til 11:45!  It was a great night!  Saturday was a lazy day at home and then Saturday night we had the fireman's wives supper!  The theme this year was white trash and everyone had fun dressing up!  Here's a picture of Travis and I.  Notice my beer tab necklace, my black eye, the baby in my belly and on my leg, I have a tattoo on my arm that says Travis and my husband looks like Larry The Cable Guy;)

It's always a great time and this year was no exception! 

Our fun Saturday night turned into a really lazy Sunday!  My in-laws had the boys overnight so I actually slept in until 11am!  I felt like a huge pile of crap for wasting the day away but I obviously needed it!  The sad thing is I took a nap with the boys from 1-3!!  NOTHING got done here yesterday!!

I kind of have the blues today because we are supposed to be in California and today was the day we would have gone to Ellen DeGeneres.  Turns out we missed Pauly D and Jessica Alba...huge bummer:(  Oh well...I'm certain I will get to a taping of Ellen one of these days!

Blast From The Past

I love Bath & Body Works pump had soap so I frequent the outlet often to stock up.  My last trip I grabbed 6 (sale was 6 soaps for $20).  I like to switch it up all the time so I got this Dancing Waters soap.  I put it in the hall bathroom and had to use it just to see what it smelled like.  I'm not kidding...the scent took me right back to August 2008 when we had Pierce! We must have had the same soap (or something similar in scent) when I got home from the hospital.  Something about the scent reminded me of coming home and having visitors to see Pierce!

I often have these blasts from the pasts episodes with scents!  Maybe I'm nuts but it's true!  I was looking through my old room where I grew up and found perfume (Joop) from high school.  I gave myself a little squirt and was instantly taken back to high school!  There was a shampoo I used in college...well, you get the point!  Hope I'm not the only crazy one that gets these triggers:)

TGIF to all of you!  I'm very thankful it's Friday!  It's been one heck of a week but I've had so much fun!

At The Farm

They got a kick out of watching the cows...and listening to them fart!  So gross but so true!

Call me a city girl but I had no idea cows loved a big pile of hay! They were playing and jumping around! Cash thought it was hilarious!

We ended that night with popcorn and a movie! The best part of the night was the boys were both in bed and asleep by 8:15! That's pretty rare!!

Happy Thursday!  Travis is back from the baseball game and had a great time!  Thanks to my aunt and uncle for making that possible for him!!  I have 4 spray tans here tonight then I'm packing up and heading back to Sigourney for a prom spray tanning party! Should be a great night!

Travis takes off today for the Twins/Red Sox game! He is like a kid in a candy store!  I'm doing my 2nd spray tanning group of the week tonight in North English!  The show must go on here!

Park Fun

Today kicks off my mega busy week!  Heading to Sigourney tonight to spray tan the Book Camp Madness crew! Happy Tuesday all!

Busy Weekend...Busy Week

It was another great weekend had by all!  Friday I started out the weekend with 4 spray tans!  Travis has been helping is friend (Mark Horvath) with his landscaping business (Advanced Landscapes). They worked later on Friday night so Stacy (BFF) came over with her kids and we ordered pizza and hung out!  Eventually the guys joined us! 

Saturday morning Travis got back up and worked with Mark and the boys and I had a lazy morning!  A group of us decided it would be a blast to get Zac Brown Band tickets for their August 3rd show in Moline.  They went on sale at 10am Saturday morning so I was designated to purchase tickets for my group (there are 19 of us going!).  Got right on and got tickets we wanted!  We booked suites at a hotel so everything is set for that weekend.  I'll deal with a babysitter later;) 

After dealing with all that I took the boys to the park.  They had a great time!  I was surprised because my little boy was going up every single slide and going down!  I about filled my pants when I saw him doing this!  He's getting so big!  The only thing he's afraid of is the swing....and so am I!

We came home and took naps.  My parents had my sisters kids for the night so after nap we went out to their house and played!  They made popcorn and ran around like crazy!  Travis and I (okay I) lined up a babysitter for our boys. We went out to eat at Chili's then to Full Throttle bar & grill in Tiffin.  There was a one man band playing his guitar and singing....LOVED IT!  I'm a sucker for a man playing guitar and singing!

Sunday we went to church and back to my parents for monkey bread and the kids played again!  I went golfing during boys naps with Stacy and Travis and Mark went golfing when we got back.  It took us girls an hour and a half to golf and it took the guys 3 hours....I don't think so!!!  Next time they are going during nap and we are going after nap!  My cousin Allison's fiance (Zach) has baby chicks at his parents house so we took all the kids out to see them!  They also loved watching the cows!  Cash was actually doing a deep belly laugh because the cows were playing w/ hay!  We ended the night with grilled ham steaks, The Chipmunk Ship Wrecked movie and popcorn!

This coming week is a CRAZY week for us! I'm traveling for a spray tan party every night this week but Monday.  Thursday Travis starts golf league so I already lined up a sitter for that night. Well....my aunt and uncle own a bar in Wabasha, MN (Slippery's).  They got 4 free tickets from their Budweiser representative for the Twins/Red Sox game Wednesday night.  Travis is a huge Boston fan and my aunt knows this so she offered the tickets to him!  I politely declined but Travis jumped all over it!  He and my brother are heading up Wednesday for the game!  Wish I could get out of work like that!  Now I'm needing another sitter Wednesday night!  My cousin, Allison, offered so I'm hoping that offer still stands;)

Girls Golf Night

I love me a girls night out and I love it even more when we decide to golf! It was a bit stressful getting there (I had a few spray tans, needed to pick up the babysitter, Travis got home late from work...and left right away for a fire meeting) but I made it and once I was there it was heaven! Part-Time Gig

Last week I had a group spray tan party in Sigourney with 22 ladies! It was a great night and everyone LOVED their tan! Well....off that one party I have gotten lots and lots of calls. Next week I am traveling back down to Sigourney Tuesday & Thursday nights, Wednesday I'll be in North English and Friday I'll be in Keota! Things are going very well for SprayChick Mobile Sunless Tanning and I'm loving it! This is quite the part-time gig I've got:)

Aside from the parties and traveling I'm squeezing in all other appointments before I leave and after I get home! So if you or anyone you know of is interested in getting a spray tan give me a call! I'll get you in!!

Happy Hump Day to all of you! I'm in a great mood today because I'm golfing tonight and I'm going to take pics and blog about it soon!! I just hope the weather stays nice and doesn't rain!

Weekend Fun

We had a fun filled weekend that left me exhausted on Sunday night!

Friday night I did 3 spray tans then we got together with a group of our friends...it was too wet and cold to golf so we went bowling! Our brave babysitter still wanted to babysit so we left for a few hours and had a great time! We grilled when we got back and had delicious food! My boys actually slept in until 8am Saturday (unheard of!!) so that felt amazing! We all got up, got ready and went to McDonald's for a family breakfast;) We then headed to Walmart and got groceries and to Kohl's for a few returns and the boys got some shoes. We were home by 11am:) Everyone took a nap Saturday afternoon! We supported North English fire department at their supper Saturday night! We ended up staying there later at the Achenbach residence:) I had a little anxiety about the storms and the babysitter here with the boys. I texted her a million times to make sure everything was okay! I knew they would be okay but I'm terrified of storms and definitely don't want to be away from the boys during severe weather! Luckily it was all okay! Sunday we celebrated Easter with my sisters family at my parents. We went to church, ate an amazing lunch, boys went fishing, girls played cards, babies napped then I came home and did a few spray tans. Travis made chicken fried rice, egg rolls and crab meat rangoons for supper. I spent the remainder of the weekend on the couch:)

Random...

I SURVIVED LAST NIGHT! I did 22 spray tans:) I didn't forget anything (but my camera!) and everything went very smooth! I got there at 6pm and didn't get home until 10pm last night! My equipment was a mess so I stayed up and cleaned that all up! Spray tan solution can be such a mess sometimes! I booked a few prom parties off last nights group tan party so that will be fun!

I washed my hands well over 25 times last night so my Jamberry Nails started peeling off. I decided to take them all off when I got home. I'm surprised at how well my real nails look! If it's possible I think they look better and are stronger! Peeling them off was easy also! They lasted me a good 7 days and I couldn't be happier with that! I left my thumb out of the picture because it gets really tan after 22 spray tans so it looks a little scary today:)

I am so thankful today is Friday! I just wish it wasn't rainy;( We have plans to golf with a big group of friends tonight and that's not going to happen if it's raining! Hopefully my husband still wants to stand in front of the grill because I'm really craving brats and kraut! Have a great weekend everyone!

Big Spray Tan Day

I am so nervous and excited about tonight! I have a group spray tan party in Sigourney......there are 20 ladies coming!! I have never done this many spray tans in one night! I'm confident in my spray tanning skills....however I'm scared to death I'm going to forget a crucial part of my process! Don't worry...I've already started a "group tan" list;) I told Travis he's on-call if I forget anything! He's super happy about that;)

If I get a minute I'll take pictures and blog about it later! Not sure I'll get a moment with 20 spray tans!

Baby Clothes

I have mentally prepared myself we are selling the boys' clothes in the Burg City Wide Garage Sales. I, however did NOT prepare myself physically;( It was not fun (it was actually sad!) going through all their baby clothes. Every Rubbermaid I opened a whole new wave of emotion poured out! I wish we had the storage to keep everything!

Here's the mess I've made in the basement!

I filled up garbage bags by size so when I unload them on the garage sale tables it will be a little easier. This is the stack of 3month onesies! I don't think my kids ever wore them to tell ya truth!

Here's the 30 gallon tub I kept of NON GARAGE SALE items! Some items in this tub include outfits they came home from the hospital in, outfits both boys wore and I couldn't part with and all other items I'm just not ready to sell! I am happy about all the empty containers I'm getting though!

Here's sizes newborn to 9 months. I have 12mo, 18mo and 24mo tubs to go through. Plus all the socks and bibs.....good Lord who needs all those socks and bibs?!

The truth is...I'm ready to sell. If for some reason we decide to have another baby a few years from now I'm going with the motto...LESS IS MORE! I was actually overwhelmed with all Pierce's hand-me-downs for Cash. Don't get me wrong...it was nice...but there's no reason for a 12 month old to have 25 pairs of shorts! Pierce was born in August and Cash was December. A lot of their clothes didn't match up size and season. We ended up buying a lot for Cash! Cash's closet is over flowing right now with clothes that fit him! So if baby 3 is in our cards they'll have a few outfits from their brothers....but hopefully we'll be buying PINK if that happens;)
If you know of anyone looking for boy clothing have them stop by my garage sale May 3rd 6-8:30; May 4th 9-4 & May 5th 8-12 (if there's anything left by then!). Unfortunately I can't get rid of all the baby items (bouncer, swing, jumparoo, high chair, BUMBO & Bobby) because of daycare! As long as I'm doing daycare I'll need all that stuff:)

Blogging

My name is Kim...and I have a problem/obsession....reading blogs! I get so involved in some blogs.....everyone has a story and I get sucked into ready them! It usually ends with me crying....and I don't even know them! I find myself wanting to check daily to see if their cancer appointments came out okay....or if they found out if they're having a boy or girl...or to see if they won the Lauren Conrad blog Style Showdown!

Regardless of all the time I spend reading about these ladies...I really am learning a lot about blogging! I also find inspiration in their writing and while the boys were napping on Saturday I found this quote......"If we all threw our problems into a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back......"

What a great message....and so very true! Things could always be so much worse!

With that said....I'm going to count my blessings and then get back to reading blogs;)

Easter 2012

We had a great weekend filled with family! We are very blessed to have such a fun family so close! We have one more Easter next weekend also! We started the Easter weekend dying eggs and then visiting the Easter Bunny! Sunday included Church (along with a million other people!), brunch at my parents, came home to nap then went to Heitman's for supper! Everything was delicious and everyone was stuffed!

Pierce has been scared to death of the Easter Bunny for 3 years now! We told him all he had to do was sit on his lap for one picture then he would be done. He informed us he would just stand beside the Easter Bunny and let Cash sit on his lap;) That works for me! Cash wasn't too thrilled about the plan!

The boys had fun dying the eggs! Of course Cash couldn't even touch them (damn egg allergy!) but he enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching all of us!

Really like this picture of the boys....just wish they'd smile;) I begged Pierce to let me give him a mohawk but he was totally against it:(

Here's our family photo for Easter 2012! Once again the boys aren't smiling....but I wore my new Lauren Conrad shoes! Loved them!

Pierce was excited about the Peeps! He kept saying they are for camping...not sure where he got that considering we've never been camping!

Cash loved the Tootsie Rolls. He probably had too many because he was CRAZY in church! I'm thinking a sugar-high that he never came off of all day!

Look-A-Like

We like hand-me-downs here so as I was digging through totes looking for an Easter outfit for Cash I found this one! I remember taking Pierce's picture on the deck so I recreated it with Cash! I cannot believe how much they look alike!!

Pierce is 20 months. Cash is 16 months!
